Rock planting_part 5.

The pinus creation is a close-up from the mountains. A fragment or a frame from a bigger whole. To avoid soil being flushed out when watering special types of plants are being used that, shortly after, keep everything in place with their roots and make sure that the pines can never absorb too much water.

This dwarf Cotula will secure everything in a short time for the upper tree together with the Houtunia.

The base of the Juniper after applying some moss.

The same with the Enkianthus.

This landscape-creation is now a new “home” for this beautiful Juniper. Well in proportion with the whole. About 50 % rock formation and 50 % vegetation is a good balance.DSCF3058.jpg

The pines are being styled roughly, everything nicely open and no branches nor green is being removed.

Just one Azalea bottom left and two ferns together with the Cotula en Houtunia this is a totally different creation.

Two different rock plantings both immediately revealing their location in nature.

Preparing for transport.

Just some more spray-dusting, this will be the way of watering in the next month.

Shaping the Pine’s branches. Important, only the branches are being styled, not the foliage.

A happy owner with his new creation.

The specific gravity of this rock is a lot higher (heavier). Even here everything is being fixed for transport.

I must admit this was a relaxing workshop for me with creativity as the main key. To create something is the most pleasant thing to do for every bonsai enthusiast.

THE END

Comments

I like both creations. I look forward to see the development.
